La eslinga, está destinada para ser utilizada como:
- Dispositivo de anclaje: componente del equipo de protección frente a caídas de altura, conforme con EN 795-B, que sirve para la unión a un punto de una estructura fija del subconjunto de unión-amortiguación, donde el usuario debe estar equipado con un equipo que limite la fuerza dinámica máxima ejercida sobre el usuario durante la detención de una caída a un máximo de 6 kN.
- Cable de seguridad: componente del equipo individual de protección frente a caídas de altura (conforme con EN 354).
- La eslinga, tras la unión con un amortiguador de seguridad (conforme con EN 355) y un arnés de seguridad (conforme con EN 361), puede ser empleada como equipo básico para la retención de caídas de altura.
- La longitud total del cable de seguridad con el amortiguador de seguridad, los extremos y los mosquetones no puede superar los 2 m. El conjunto está destinado para ser usado por una sola persona.
- Los ojales cuentan con guardacabos y talurit recubiertos con protector plástico, ofreciendo una protección adicional.
- Óptima para superficies metálicas por su alta resistencia a la abrasión.
- Ofrece mejor comportamiento en ciertas situaciones en comparación con anclajes textiles.
- Debe ser revisada periódicamente, al menos una vez al año.
