Advanced Rescue Training
The IRATA International training is the highest certification worldwide in rope access work, its objective is to provide an effective and safe standard of work through a code of good practice and a rigorous and periodic evaluation of all its members.
Objectives
The ART modules will allow course participants to perform rescue operations for people injured in a wind turbine (both in the Onshore/Land and Offshore/Sea fields), using standardized equipment in the industry, specific rescue methods and techniques, higher than the level of the GWO module for Work at Height.
All personnel participating in any of the Advanced Rescue Training modules should be in good health and able to participate fully. As a prerequisite, the participant must have the current GWO modules for Work at Height, First Aid and Manual Load Handling.
ART Modules
- Hub, Spinner and Blade Interior Rescue (HSIBR). Duration 7 hours. 270€
- Nacelle Rescue, Tower and Foundation Pit (NTBR). Duration 14 Hours. 590€
- Hub, Spinner and Shovel Interior Rescue (1 single rescuer, SR:HSIBR). Duration 4 hours. 270€
- Nacelle Rescue, Tower and Foundation Pit (1 rescuer only, SR: NTBR). Duration 4 Hours. 280€
- Combined rescue module (all previous modules in a single 3-day course). 900€
Duration 20.3 hours.
ART Recycling Modules
- Hub, Spinner and Blade Interior Rescue (HSIBR-R). Duration 7 hours.
- Nacelle Rescue, Tower and Foundation Pit (NTBR-R). Duration 14 Hours.
Although there are theoretical components of GWO ART training, practical modules and evaluations require face-to-face assistance at EASTAV, since they involve the use of equipment and the practice of skills that cannot be replicated virtually. Therefore, no, it cannot be done online.
To enroll in the course, you must have previously completed the Work at Height, First Aid and Manual Load Handling modules of the GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) course.
Yes, GWO sets training and safety standards that are globally accepted. This ensures that certified professionals can work on wind energy projects anywhere in the world.

Una experiencia de formación IRATA 1 altamente profesional en EASTAV
I recently completed a rope access training course at EASTAV in Sevilla, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From start to finish, the team was professional, attentive, patient, and thorough in their teaching approach.
They make sure that every student feels confident, safe, and supported throughout the course. The equipment is modern, well-maintained, and up to date, which really adds peace of mind during such a hands-on training.
On top of that, they provide a detailed book with all the essential knowledge you need, making it easy to continue learning and revising even outside the classroom.
EASTAV also has its own shop with top-quality products—from clothing to equipos—basically everything you could possibly need to work in the industry. This makes it incredibly convenient to start out fully prepared with reliable gear.
As a woman entering a field where we’re still underrepresented, I have felt nothing but welcome and supported here. EASTAV creates an inclusive environment where anyone can succeed—whether you’re male or female, new to the industry, or already experienced. You just need to be open to learning and willing to put in the effort.
Another big plus is the location—there are plenty of accessible facilities nearby, making the whole experience even more comfortable.
What really impressed me is the variety of globally recognized courses they offer, opening doors to industries such as the wind energy (sector eólico) sector and many others. EASTAV is not just a training center, but a place that helps you take real steps forward in your career.
I highly recommend EASTAV to anyone considering rope access or looking to expand their qualifications.
You’ll be in the best hands.A special thank you to Viviana, José, Hernan and Henry! 🫶
